Harold Waters, Jr.

Harold was born and raised in Detroit, MI and spent his formative years in the metro Atlanta area. He attended Clarkston High School and went on to attend the University of Georgia, where he majored in Journalism & Mass Communication.

After graduation, Harold worked in several publication management roles at Morris Communications and Gannett, Inc., including Augusta Chronicle, Augusta, GA, Athens Banner-Herald, Athens, GA, Greenville News, Greenville, SC and Courier-Journal, Louisville, KY.) Harold then went on to work as Media & Marketing Coordinator for a faith-based non-profit in Athens, GA. Harold spent the next 11 years working at his alma mater, the University of Georgia, serving as Director of Alumni Development at the School of Social Work and later Plant Manager for Bulldog Print + Design, the University’s on-campus printing plant.

Over the last 20 years, Harold has founded, nurtured or partnered in business ventures in industries including music production, media marketing, foreclosure prevention, property preservation, asset recovery, real estate investing, short sale processing, health and beauty, software development, luxury auto rentals, e-commerce, publishing, venture capital. 

Harold is a founder and partner in Legacy Holdings of Georgia, a holding company that manages business activities in several niches, including real estate investing, asset recovery, mobile notary services, field asset services, foreclosure prevention services, courier/logistics services and property preservation and government contracting. 

Harold is a proud husband and father of two adult children. His hobbies include travel, web development and sports. He and his wife, Kara, currently live in Athens, GA.
